Publishing your Dynamic Components

Once you've finished building and testing your Avonni Dynamic Component in the Component Builder, you must make it available for users on your Salesforce Lightning Pages. This involves saving, activating, and adding the component to your desired App or Record Pages using the standard Lightning App Builder.

Step-by-Step Guide

1

Save Your Dynamic Component

Inside the Avonni Component Builder, ensure all your latest changes are saved. Click the Save button.

2

Activate the Component

  • Next to the Save button, click the Activate button.

  • Why Activate? Activation compiles your component and makes it officially available within the Salesforce Lightning App Builder. Without activation, you won't find it in the list of components to add to a page.

3

Go to the specific Salesforce App Page, Record Page, or Home Page where you want to display your newly created Dynamic Component.

4

Open the Lightning App Builder

  • Click the Setup gear icon (⚙️) in the top-right corner of the Salesforce interface.

  • Select Edit Page. This opens the Lightning App Builder for the current page.

5

Find and Place Your Dynamic Component

  • In the Lightning App Builder's left-hand panel (where the list of standard and custom components appears), scroll down to the "Custom - Managed" section.

  • Locate your Avonni Dynamic Component. It will be listed by the name you gave it when you created it.

  • Drag your component from the list and drop it onto the desired region of the page canvas.

6

Configure the component

Click on the component you just placed on the page canvas to select it.

7

Save and Activate the Lightning Page

  • Click the Save button in the top-right corner of the Lightning App Builder.

  • If you've made changes to the page's assignments or if it's a new page setup, you may need to click Activate. Follow the prompts to assign the updated page layout to the relevant Salesforce Apps, Record Types, and User Profiles.

Done! Your Avonni Dynamic Component is now published and should be visible to users who have access to that Lightning Page (and the necessary licenses/permissions for Avonni Components
