What's New

Data components, such as Data Table and List, now include built-in actions that significantly enhance user interaction with records directly on Lightning pages. These new capabilities reduce clicks, streamline workflows, and provide better data visibility—all without custom development.

Install the Components

New Action Attributes

Global Inline Edit

Transform your data component into a fully editable table. Users can update multiple records directly within the component without needing to open separate edit forms.

Benefits:

Details Panel

Enable a slide-out panel that displays complete record information at a glance. Users can view all record details without leaving the component or navigating away from the current page.

  • Stay in context while reviewing information

  • Eliminate unnecessary page navigation

  • Improve user productivity


Full Screen Mode

Allow users to expand the component to full screen with a single click. Perfect for displaying large datasets or detailed information that needs more screen real estate.

How to Enable

  1. Open your Lightning page in Lightning App Builder

  2. Select your Avonni data component (Data Table, List, etc.)

  3. In the properties panel, locate the Actions section

  4. Enable the desired actions:

    • Toggle Global Inline Edit for bulk editing

    • Toggle Show Details Panel for quick record viewing

    • Toggle Full Screen for expandable views

  5. Save and activate your page


Configuration Tips

Global Inline Edit:

  • Ensure users have edit permissions on the object and fields

  • Consider which fields should be editable in your workflow

  • Test with actual user profiles to verify permissions

Details Panel:

  • Configure which fields appear in the panel for optimal information display

  • Organize fields logically for quick scanning

  • Include key fields users need to see most frequently

Full Screen:

  • Works automatically with no additional configuration

  • Users can toggle full-screen on/off as needed

  • Maintains all filtering and sorting preferences
