Component Not Appearing in Component Builder

Symptom

Cannot access the Dynamic Components builder or create new components.

Common Causes and Solutions

1. Missing Required Permissions

Check: The user requires specific Salesforce permissions beyond the Avonni permission sets.

Solution:

  • Ensure user has "Author Apex" permission enabled

  • Enable "Modify Metadata Through Metadata API Functions" permission

  • Verify "Avonni Dynamic Components Admin" permission set is assigned

Steps:

  1. Setup > Permission Sets

  2. Create or edit custom permission set

  3. Under System Permissions, enable both required permissions

  4. Assign to user

  5. Log out and back in

2. Lightning Web Security Not Enabled

Check: Dynamic Components requires Lightning Web Security.

Solution:

  1. Setup > Session Settings

  2. Find "Use Lightning Web Security for Lightning web components and Aura components"

  3. Enable the setting

  4. Reinstall the Dynamic Components package if already installed

3. Package Installation Issues

Check: The Package may not have installed completely.

Solution:

  1. Setup > Installed Packages

  2. Verify "Avonni Experience Components" shows as installed (or Avonni Dynamic Components for the legacy package)

  3. Check installation status shows "Success"

  4. If incomplete, uninstall and reinstall the package
